A New Twist on Design Based in Brooklyn, Elseware is a group of product designers who support each other creatively, emotionally, and sometimes physically. They hail from all across the U.S. and are seeking a new creative outlet for themselves and a forum for their work. Elseware presents its new works through theme-based gallery shows that help heighten design awareness to the general public. The shows combine art and functionality and often result in actual products. Elseware’s current creations range from organic plant-like toothbrush holders, pierced paperweights, colorful dog tagged soap-on-a-rope, to bendable clocks that conjure up images of Salvador Dali’s Persistence of Memory. Far from the norm, these quirky home accessories redefine the concept of utilitarian design. Objects no longer need to be dull and static just because they’re practical. Don’t wait any longer, put a little fun and functionality into your home.

Time Warp There’s no need to consult Einstein and his theories to see if you can bend time anymore. Now anyone can do it with a “AA” battery and twist of the arm. This ever changeable clock is entirely flexible so you can hang it anywhere. Pull it, push it, twist it, bend it . . . then hang it . . . on the wall, around a corner, off the edge of a table, or around a pole. Time can now go exactly where you want it.
